Our current electricity System Operator (SO) incentives scheme ends on 31 March 2017.
We believe there is a need to conduct a fundamental review of SO incentives to ensure they reflect the changing nature of our electricity system and the SO’s role within it.
We expect to be in a position to implement the conclusions of this review in spring/summer 2018. This document consults on our approach to SO incentives in the interim period, from 1 April 2017 until a new SO incentives framework is ready.
