Decision on changes to SHEPD's licence in respect of costs associated with the Extended Interim Energy Solution for Shetland

Decision

Following the November 2017 decision to reject the proposed costs for the Shetland New Energy Solution (SNES) it was agreed that Scottish Hydro Electric Power Distribution (SHEPD) would manage an extension of services to meet demand on the islands, in the interim period until 2025, and provide revised costs to achieve this.

In June we published our decision on the costs of providing an interim solution for Shetland and alongside this we also published a statutory consultation on the associated licence changes. Having considered respondents’ views, we are now publishing our decision on these licence changes.
