The application window for Cycle 6 of the Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF) was open from 27 May 2026 to 24 June 2026.
This publication sets out the Discovery projects awarded funding through Cycle 6 and their contribution to the Innovation Challenges outlined in Ofgem's Strategic Innovation Fund Challenges: 2026 to 2033. As the first phase of SIF funding, Discovery projects help networks investigate and develop innovative solutions to strategic challenges across Great Britain's energy networks.
