Domestic energy debt continues to be an issue for the energy retail market. It is important that households get the right support to help them out of debt. When households reduce their debt, it also reduces the impact on all energy consumers, energy suppliers and the energy retail market.
Debt advice providers are an important part of providing support to households. However we have identified challenges and issues for both energy suppliers and debt advice providers when working together.
