What our guidance does

It covers the three ECO obligations, outlining:

  • which energy suppliers are obligated under the scheme

  • how they can meet their obligations

  • when and what they need to report on, and

  • information on ECO measures.

What it doesn’t do

It’s not intended as a definitive guide to the legislative provisions of The Electricity and Gas (Energy Company Obligation) Order 2014 (ECO2 Order).

Suppliers are responsible for ensuring that they, and any members of the supply chain acting on their behalf, comply with the applicable requirements of the law.
