The 'Bidoyng' Smart Fuse (ENWLT1001)
This project will install “Smart Fuses” on the Low Voltage (LV) network. It will test whether or not they are able to reduce the impact of Transient Faults on ENWL's network.
Voltage Management on Low Voltage Busbars (ENWLT1002)
This project will deploy and assess a range of voltage management technologies and techniques across 15 distribution substations. It will explore the potential of these technologies and techniques for the management of voltages on LV networks
Low Voltage Network Solutions (ENWLT1003)
This project will deploy a range of monitoring equipment which will provide ENWL with greater understanding of the existing operating characteristics and demands of its LV networks and the tools to manage these issues.
Low Voltage Integrated Automation (ENWLT1004)
This project will develop and then trial a new integrated solution and novel application of automated voltage control of LV distribution networks.
Low Voltage Protection And Communications (ENWLT1005)
This project will further develop and implement the advanced protection and communications required to meet the requirements of future Low Voltage networks of the future.
Fault Current Active Management (ENWLT1006)
This project will consider methods other than network reinforcement to alleviate fault level issues.
Combined on-line Transformer Monitoring (ENWTL1006)
This project will monitor the condition of transmission transformers, enabling early diagnosis of any issues to prolong their usable life.
Fault Sense (ENWLT1007)
This project aims to improve the speed of restoration of supply, particularly under storm conditions.
