NESO Regulatory Instructions and Guidance and Reporting Pack: decision

On 30 April 2025, the Authority issued a Notice proposing modifications to the RIIO-2 RIGs and the RRPs for National Energy System Operator (NESO). We are now publishing the modified versions of the RIIO-2 RIGs and RRPs following the receipt of stakeholder feedback on the Notice. 

The modifications will take effect from 27 June 2025.

Background

The changes to the RIGs and RRP will reflect:

• the transition from National Grid Electricity System Operator to NESO
• the new Energy System Operator and Gas System Planner licences
• the new RRP tables

The RIGs are tracked to show the location of modifications relative to previously published versions.
