On 27 June 2024, National Gas Transmission (NGT) sent us a letter requesting our consent to a derogation from the requirement to provide statements from an Independent Examiner alongside the Capacity Methodology Statements that NGT intends to submit for approval by the Authority in 2025 in accordance with Special Conditions 9.17.10 and 9.18.10 of the NGT Gas Transporter Licence.

Special Conditions 9.17.11(d) and 9.18.11(d) of the Licence require the licensee to provide a statement from an Independent Examiner to accompany the methodology statements, unless we consent to not providing the statement.

We have decided to consent to this request and NGT will therefore not be required to submit said statements. Our reasons for doing so are detailed in our decision letter.
