- RIIO-T2: transmission price control 2021 to 2026
We are seeking views on our assessment of National Grid Electricity Transmission’s Visual Impact Mitigation Re-opener application for its Cotswolds VIP project.
Details of outcome
In May 2025, NGET applied for funding under Special Condition funding under Special Condition 3.10 of its RIIO-2 Electricity Transmission licence. The request related to NGET’s proposal to deliver a Visual Impact Mitigation Price Control Deliverable to reduce visual amenity impacts on the Cotswolds National Landscape.
We consulted on our assessment and Draft Determination in April 2026. Our decision, having taken account of all consultation responses, is to reject NGET’s project funding request.
