We are looking for feedback on our priorities for 2026 to 2027 before finalising our plan.

Details of outcome

We received 25 responses from industry participants, suppliers, consumer bodies, industry bodies, and members of the public. Respondents broadly supported our strategic direction for 2026, but asked for:

  • clearer milestones and delivery dates with a better explanation about priorities
  • better consumer protections, with a focus on keeping costs down and support for people who need extra help
  • an explanation of the role of using energy flexibility and why it matters
  • firmer commitments on data and digital systems, including how they will work together
  • an explanation about how the whole energy system works together with code governance and links to Clean Power 2030

We have reviewed the feedback, and we think that our priorities and objectives for 2026 to 2027 meet the needs of the energy sector. We will update our Forward Work Programme if there are changes to our strategy, plans or approach.
