Proposal to introduce a health and safety policy re-opener to carbon dioxide transport and storage licences.

Consultation description

We are consulting on a proposal to introduce a new uncertainty mechanism into the carbon dioxide transport and storage (CCS) licences held by Net Zero North Sea Storage Ltd and Liverpool Bay CCS Ltd. The proposed mechanism would provide a new re-opener through which the Licensees could request adjustments to allowances where unforeseen changes in CCS-specific health and safety policy require material changes to construction or operational practices.

We welcome responses from all interested parties, particularly those with an interest in carbon capture and storage.

Who should respond
