About the register
The Renewable & CHP Register has been replaced with the Renewable Electricity Register.
The Renewable Electricity Register is a web-based system used to manage several schemes that we administer on behalf of government:
- Renewables Obligation (RO)
- Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO)
- Feed-in Tariffs (FIT)
The Register is used to:
- apply for new accreditation and manage existing accreditations
- submit or edit output data
- receive and transfer certificates (Renewables Obligation Certificates (ROCs) and REGO certificates)
- submit annual declarations
- access data reports
Licensed electricity suppliers use the Register to:
- redeem ROCs to comply with their Renewables Obligation
- hold REGOs as evidence of Fuel Mix Disclosure (FMD)
Creating a new account
If you do not have an existing account and would like to sign up you need to create an account.

Signing into and managing an existing account
If you have an existing account under the Renewable and CHP Register this will be transferred to the Renewable Electricity Register.
Your new login details will be emailed to the email account associated with your account on Wednesday 14 May 2025.
If by 16 May 2025 you have not received your details contact us at renewable.enquiry@ofgem.gov.uk .

- how to create an account
- how to submit an application
- how to agree annual declarations
- video guides on how to use the new register
