UNC0894/A: Facilitating Biomethane entry into the GDN by exporting methane from the GDN into the NTS via Compression

We have decided to approve UNC0894 and reject UNC0894A, with implementation to be carried out as soon as possible.
UNC0894/A proposed to amend the UNC in order to allow a new connection type, wherein gas could be flowed upstream from a GDN to the NTS, facilitating what is commonly called “Reverse Compression”.
The original proposal (UNC0894) would do this through the establishment of a new form of system Offtake, whereas the alternative (UNC0894A) would treat the new connection as a form of System Entry Point.
