Renewables Obligation 2021 - 2022 Distribution of Payments Received After Late Payment Deadline

Reports, plans and updates

The 2021-22 RO late payment fund (£44,000,191) was redistributed on 5 December 2022 to suppliers who presented Renewables Obligation Certificates (ROCs) by 1 September 2022. Suppliers received a total of £7.44 per ROC presented after the redistribution of the buy-out and late payment funds.

After the late payment deadline of 31 October 2022, an additional total sum of £536,797.16 was recovered in November 2022 from one supplier who failed to discharge its Renewables Obligation (RO) as of the deadline date. This was redistributed on 23 February 2023 to suppliers in proportion to the total mutualisation payments they are responsible for making in respect of the 2021-22 relevant period.

Further details are provided in the Response Letter – Payments received after Renewables Obligation (RO) late payment deadline.

As with the buy-out and late payment funds, the amount paid to each supplier was rounded down to the nearest pound resulting in a total redistribution amount of £536,762.
