In July 2021, we published a joint consultation with BEIS on proposals for an expert, impartial Future System Operator (FSO) with responsibilities across both the electricity and gas systems, to drive progress towards net zero while maintaining energy security and minimising costs for consumers.
The decision following this consultation can be found on the government’s website and the non-confidential consultation responses can be found on Ofgem’s website.
