Code modification description
Electricity North West Limited, raised GC0139 on 12 February 2020. The proposal addresses limitations in the existing Grid Code arrangements for planning-data exchange between NESO and Network Operators. The Proposer’s solution introduces a more structured, two-way exchange of planning data. It replaces relevant elements of the existing annual submissions with the routine exchange of solved Power System Models in the Common Information Model format, supported by Data Registration Code schedules and associated documentation. The proposal is intended to improve visibility of adjacent networks and provide a more consistent basis for planning across transmission and distribution interfaces. The Grid Code Review Panel unanimously recommended that the Proposer’s solution should be implemented.
