Notice of revocation of licence
Whereas
A. Thor Cogeneration Limited (registered in England and Wales under company number 05992364) (“the Licensee”), having its registered office at Westwood Way, Westwood Business Park, Coventry, CV4 8LG is the holder of an Electricity Generation licence (“the Licence”) treated as granted under section 6(1)(a) of the Electricity Act 1989 (“the Act”).
B. Section 6(8) of the Act provides that a licence granted under the Act may be revoked in accordance with any term contained in it. The terms of the licence provide that the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (“the Authority”) may at any time revoke the licence on giving 30 days notice to Thor Cogeneration Limited where it agrees in writing with the Authority that the licence should be revoked.
C. By a letter dated 1 May 2013 the Licensee applied to the Authority to have the Licence revoked and the Authority has agreed to that request.
Notice of Revocation
The Authority hereby gives notice that with effect from 22 September 2013 the licence shall be revoked.
