A key element of our new RIIO (Revenue = Incentives + Innovation + Outputs) price control framework is the greater focus on outputs and associated secondary deliverables. For RIIO-ED1 the distribution network operators (DNOs) submitted information as part of their business plans on outputs and secondary deliverables (such as the asset health and criticality of their network and loading indices) to quantify the impact of expenditure on their networks.
To further develop and better understand outputs and secondary deliverables, for RIIO-ED1, we are requiring DNOs to have a Common Methodology for asset health, criticality and monetised risk (Standard Licence Condition 51)
The Distribution Network Operators, following their license obligation, submitted their Common Network Asset Indices methodology on 1 July 2015. We have assessed their submissions and we seek your views on our proposals.
