Network Innovation Competition (NIC)

The Network Innovation Competition gave electricity and gas network companies the chance to compete for funding for innovation projects during the RIIO-1 price control period.

The gas NIC closed to new proposals in March 2021. The electricity NIC closed to new proposals in March 2023.
