We expect the RER to be offline to external users until Wednesday 5 November 2025.
We will share further updates on this page as soon as they’re available.
Renewable Electricity Register (RER) report functionality
The reporting function on the Renewable Electricity Register (RER) is currently unavailable due to high activity levels. RER users will be sent an email with details on how to access the reports via a link, with the first batch available on Monday 30 June. We will notify users once the service is restored. If you have not received a link, or for urgent queries, contact Renewable.Enquiry@Ofgem.gov.uk. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
About the register
The Renewable & CHP Register has been replaced with the Renewable Electricity Register.
The register is available Monday to Friday between 08:00 to 17:00.
The Renewable Electricity Register is a web-based system used to manage several schemes that we administer on behalf of government:
- Renewables Obligation (RO)
 - Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO)
 - Feed-in Tariffs (FIT)

The Register is used to:
- apply for new accreditation and manage existing accreditations
 - submit or edit output data
 - receive and transfer certificates (Renewables Obligation Certificates (ROCs) and REGO certificates)
 - submit annual declarations
 - access data reports

Licensed electricity suppliers use the Register to:
- redeem ROCs to comply with their Renewables Obligation
 - hold REGOs as evidence of Fuel Mix Disclosure (FMD)
