The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has consulted on Future Support for Low Carbon Heat. They have named Ofgem as the intended administrator of the Clean Heat Grant.

The Clean Heat Grant

The grant is intended to provide upfront capital support for the installation of air source and ground source heat pumps and in certain circumstances biomass boilers.

Could you help us design a digital service that works for Clean Heat Grant users?

We will be building the digital service based on the policy proposed by BEIS and are starting to consider what our administration of the Clean Heat Grant could look like. We are in the discovery phase which will be focusing on the grant’s potential users.

Find out more about digital services on the government blog, What do we mean when we talk about services? - Government Digital Service (blog.gov.uk)

We would like to speak with the user groups below:

  • Property owners who live in their property
  • Property owners who do not live in their property

The focus of these conversations would be to explore the following topics, amongst others:

  • Experience of heating and hot water technologies with a particular focus on low carbon heating
  • Experience with installers of various heating and hot water technologies

If you are interested in finding out more or taking part, please complete this short survey (link below) which should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete or email us at Future.heat@ofgem.gov.uk. If you have any accessibility requirements, or need anything to help you participate fully in this session, please let us know so we can arrange this.
