FAB Link Limited - Notice of grant of an electricity interconnector licence

NOTICE UNDER SECTION 6A(5) OF THE ELECTRICITY ACT 1989 OF THE GRANT OF AN ELECTRICITY INTERCONNECTOR  LICENCE

Pursuant to section 6A(5) of the Electricity Act 1989 (“the Act”), the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (“the Authority”) hereby gives notice that on 26 March 2014, an electricity interconnector licence was granted under section 6(1)(e) of the Act to FAB Link Limited (company number 54637) whose registered office is situated at Glategny Court, P.O. Box 140, Glategny Esplanade, St Peter Port, Guernsey, GY1 4EW, authorising it to participate in the operation of the FAB Link interconnector, an electricity interconnector between Great Britain (Exeter 400kV substation) and France (Menuel 400kV substation), passing through the territory of Alderney.

Note: An electricity interconnector licence authorises a person to operate an electricity interconnector. It is not an authorisation to construct the interconnector. Construction of the interconnector is subject to separate planning processes including the obtaining of any consents or permits required from relevant authorities, including the relevant planning authority.
