NOTICE OF REVOCATION OF A LICENCE PURSUANT TO SECTION 6 OF THE ELECTRICITY ACT 1989
Notice of Revocation
Whereas
1. Electricity Direct (UK) Limited, (company registration number 03174056), having its registered office at Millstream, Maidenhead Road, Windsor, Berkshire, SL4 5GD, is the holder of an Electricity Supply Licence (the “Licence”) granted or treated as granted under Section 6(1)(d) of the Electricity Act 1989 (the “Act”).
2. Section 6(8) of the Act provides that a licence granted or treated as granted under the Act may be revoked in accordance with any term contained in it.
3. The terms of the Licence provide that the Authority may at any time revoke the Licence on giving not less than 30 days notice to Electricity Direct (UK) Limited, where it agrees in writing with the Authority that the Licence should be revoked.
4. By email dated 15 February 2022 Electricity Direct (UK) Limited confirmed that the Licence is no longer required and agreed with the Authority that the Licence should be revoked.
Reasons for Decision
5. Electricity Direct (UK) Limited has agreed in writing with the Authority that the Licence is no longer required and should be revoked in accordance with the terms of the Licence by email dated 15 February 2022.
Therefore
6. The Authority hereby gives notice that, unless the Authority otherwise directs, the Licence will be revoked with effect from 00:01am on 21 March 2022.
