The Electricity Capacity Regulations 2014 (as amended) require us to provide the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy with an annual report on the operation of the Capacity Market.
This is the fifth such report on the operation of the Capacity Market. There has been one Capacity Market auction since our last report, the 2018/19 T-1 Auction, securing further capacity for delivery in 2019/20.
This report describes the outcomes from this auction, including the prequalification processes carried out in 2018, along with some observations from our analysis.
