The Belgian energy regulator (CREG) has now published its statutory consultation on the tariff methodology setting out the arrangements for  GB-Belgium electricity interconnector Nemo.  This document is available in French and Dutch on CREG’s website.   Following this consultation, the final tariff methodology will be put before Parliament in Belgium at the end of November.

Following detailed consultations on the cap and floor regime for Nemo from March 2013 to April 2014, Ofgem also intends to publish its final decision at the end of November.  This will finalise the regime design and financial parameters for Nemo and indicate the cap and floor levels based on our assessment of costs to date.

Productive discussions around the implementation of the regime have taken place between Ofgem, CREG and the project developers (National Grid Nemo Link Ltd and Elia) over the summer.

We will continue to work with CREG and the project developers as this project moves through the construction phase and into commissioning at the end of the decade.
