On 3rd November 2017 we published our decision on the membership of the Design Advisory Board. Since that date, the following changes in the membership of the Design Advisory Board have occurred:

  • Chris Allanson (Energy Networks Association and Northern Powergrid) has become a member. As part of the original decision on membership we decided to explore the possibility of having a member from a networks background given the strategic linkages between half-hourly settlement (HHS) and the role of networks in delivering smart, flexible energy system. This led to Chris attending the first DAB meeting and he has since confirmed his availability to attend future DAB meetings.
  • Will Broad (BEIS) has been confirmed by BEIS as the nominee for the DAB. This occurred after the first DAB meeting, which Lowri Gilbert from BEIS attended in the interim.

Following these changes, the membership of the DAB now consists of:

  • Chris Allanson (Energy Networks Association, Northern Powergrid)
  • Sara Bell (Tempus Energy)
  • Will Broad (BEIS)
  • David Crossman (Cornwall Energy)
  • Mitch Donnelly (British Gas)
  • Stew Horne (Citizens Advice)
  • Chris King (Siemens)
  • Professor Catherine Mitchell (Exeter University)
  • Graham Oakes (Upside Energy)
  • Judith Ward (Sustainability First)
