Ofgem has launched TR5 to identify a successful bidder to whom an offshore transmission licence will be granted for five qualifying projects. The five projects that have met the necessary qualifying requirements and tender entry conditions (in accordance with the Electricity Regulations 2015).
We have split the TR5 Enhanced Pre-Qualification stage into two groups, and the two projects included in Group 2 are:
- Galloper Wind Farm
- Walney Extension Offshore Wind Farm
This generic TR5 Group 2 Preliminary Information Memorandum outlines an opportunity for investors to acquire electricity transmission assets under the regulatory regime governing the ownership and operation of offshore electricity transmission. It also details the process that we will follow in conducting each tender exercise.
