Decision on Modifications to the Electricity Distribution Licence Related to (a) Licence Applications from Affiliates of Existing Distribution Licensees and (b) Competitive Deployment of Storage

In February 2019 we published our consultation ‘Affiliates of existing licensees: informal consultation on proposed modifications to the Electricity Distribution Licence’ to invite views on our proposed modifications to SLC 4 and SLC 42 of the Electricity Distribution Licence.

We have updated our proposals based on the feedback we received. This statutory consultation sets out our updated proposal for licence modifications and provides interested parties with an opportunity to make any representations to us, ahead of making a final decision.

We are also proposing to make a small number of housekeeping changes. These relate to our recent decision on enabling the competitive deployment of storage in a flexible energy system.
