On 6 Novermber 2018, we published our decision on the Default Tariff Cap. At the time of our decision, we recognised that the cost and pace of the smart meter rollout was uncertain. Rather than set values in advance for the smart cost allowances, we stated we would review progress to inform allowances in future cap periods.
This letter sets out a timeline and our initial thinking on how we propose to conduct this review for setting the Smart Metering Net Cost Component for the forethcoming cap periods.
