The ‘Secure and Promote’ special licence condition came into effect in March 2014. At that time, we committed to carrying out a review of the policy after three to five years.
We are currently carrying out this work, and have issued a consultation to gather evidence and stakeholder input.
This consultation follows a stakeholder workshop that we held in May 2017 during which we received views on market participants' experiences to date and on the scope of the review.
This consultation is open to responses from all, and sets out Ofgem's analysis of the policy and requests specific feedback from all stakeholders.
We would like to thank you for your engagement thus far. We are keen to continue to hear your views on the possible improvements to the policy going forwards, how the policy is meeting your needs, and to gather your evidence.
