Renewables Obligation: April 2019 Additional Payment Distribution (1 November 2018 – 31 March 2019)

Data

The 2017-18 RO late payment fund (£44,571,252) was redistributed on 30 November 2018 to suppliers who presented Renewables Obligation Certificates (ROCs) within the 2017-18 compliance year (1 April 2017 – 31 March 2018). Suppliers received a total of £5.85 per ROC presented after the redistribution of the buy-out and late payment fund for 2017-18.

After the late payment deadline of 31 October 2018, an additional total sum of £4,451,941.62 was recovered from suppliers who failed to discharge their Renewables Obligation (RO) as of the deadline date. These funds were received in the period 1 November 2018 – 31 March 2019. The total sum, which includes interest earned while in our account, was redistributed on 24 April 2019 to suppliers in proportion to the number of ROCs that each supplier presented to us in the 2017-18 reporting period.

As with the buy-out and late payment funds, the amount paid to each supplier was rounded down to the nearest pound.

From the redistribution of the payments recovered after the late payment deadline, suppliers received an extra £0.04 per ROC.

Please note: After the 31 March 2019, an additional sum of £827,922.41 was recovered from Click Energy Limited, who failed to discharge their NI Renewables Obligation (NIRO) as of the 31 October 2018. The total amount, which includes interest earned while in our account, was redistributed on 1 June 2020 to suppliers in proportion to the number of ROCs that each supplier presented to us in the 2017-18 reporting period. As with the buy-out and late payment funds, the amount paid to each supplier was rounded down to the nearest pound, resulting in a total redistribution of £827,893.  From the redistribution of this payment suppliers received an extra £0.01 per ROC.
