Our decision last year on Project TransmiT brought in changes to the transmission charging methodology to reflect both the location and type of generators. Having considered all the evidence we decided to approve the option WACM 2. We consider these changes are in the best interests of consumers.
Our decision was subject to a judicial review brought by RWE, and on 23 July we received a judgement that RWE’s claim for judicial review has been dismissed. RWE have informed us that they do not intend to the appeal the Court’s decision. The option will be implemented from April 2016.
