Ofgem has launched TR6 to identify a suitable bidder to whom an offshore transmission licence will be granted. There are three qualifying projects in TR6.
The projects that have met the necessary qualifying requirements and tender entry conditions (in accordance with the Electricity Regulations 2015) for TR6 are:
- Beatrice Offshore Wind farm
- Hornsea Project One Offshore Wind Farm
- East Anglia ONE.
This generic Preliminary Information Memorandum outlines an opportunity for investors to acquire electricity transmission assets under the regulatory regime governing the ownership and operation of offshore electricity transmission. It also details the process that we will follow in conducting each tender exercise.
