The Non-Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme (NDRHI) will close to new applicants on 31 March 2021. However, due to unprecedented challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic during 2020, certain NDRHI projects which are not eligible for Tariff Guarantees (Non-TGs) and risk missing the scheme closure deadline on 31 March 2021 can apply for an extension application granting them until on or before 31 March 2022 to commission their plant and submit a properly made full application for accreditation.
The guidance explains our administration of the extension applications available for eligible Non-TGs in Great Britain. The guidance is based on the amendment regulations for the Renewable Heat Incentive Regulations 2018 (as amended) laid on 25 January 2021 and which come into force on 1 March 2021.
We have published the final guidance document on 26 February 2021 ahead of the legislative changes taking effect and the opening of the one-month window for extension applications to be submitted.
In addition, we have published alongside our final guidance our response to stakeholder comments to our draft guidance. This details the changes we have made.

An offline application form can also be downloaded below. This form may be used in the event of IT issues with the Ofgem NDRHI Register.
