Market investigation reference: Assessing the wholesale market

This is a submission to the Competition and Markets Authority to assist with its investigation into the energy markets, focusing on the wholesale electricity market. It sets out our views on what a well functioning market should achieve. It considers the extent to which the current market design can realise this, and the other factors which influence how well the market functions. It also considers the factors which may change the way the market functions in the future.
