Grid Code GC0061: Amendments Required to Implement the Electricity Supply Emergency Code (ESEC)

GC0061 sought to modify the Grid Code to clarify the role that will be taken by Network Operators should the Government invoke the Electricity Supply Emergency Code (ESEC) to deal with a prolonged electricity supply emergency. GC0061 proposes to introduce additional wording to OC6 in the Grid Code to add this further clarity.
The Authority approved this modification on 10 October 2014.
