Generic Entry and Exit Revenue Driver Methodology (update): Independent Examiner derogation

National Grid Gas Transmission requested derogation from the condition in its gas transporter licence which requires it to provide Independent Examiner Statement alongside the updated Generic Entry and Exit Revenue Driver Methodology Statement (GRDM).

The changes proposed by NGG are minor clarifications, including administrative changes, clarifying timescales for calculating the revenue driver, and the removing the references to making consequent changes to the Constraints Management Target.

This letter should not be taken as indication that we will be approving the proposed changes to the GRDM. We will decide whether or not to approve these changes on their merits when they are submitted to us.

This letter explains why we have given consent to National Grid Gas to update the GRDM without accompanying statements from an Independent Examiner.
