Default Tariff Cap: smaller supplier webinar

Agendas, minutes and presentations

Publication date

Ofgem is developing a design for price protection for consumers on standard variable and default tariffs.

As part of this development, we are keen to ensure smaller supplier feedback is taken into account when designing the default tariff cap. We are looking for expressions of interest for a webinar for smaller suppliers to be held on 21 June. Please register for this event as soon as possible to express your interest and reserve a space by emailing stakeholders@ofgem.gov.uk.

We are especially interested to know if there are particular topics related to the Default Tariff Cap consultation that you would like us to discuss. Please let us know these topics by emailing retailpriceregulation@ofgem.gov.uk as soon as possible, to allow us to take these into account for the webinar.

Topics we currently intend to cover are:

  • Overview of potential methods of setting the cap
  • Approach to wholesale costs
  • Potential exemptions from the cap

Based on level of interest for the webinar and particular topics for discussion, confirmation of the event and a detailed agenda will follow shortly.

Please note that spaces are limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
