Decision on Scottish Power Transmission Ltd’s opening asset value for project ‘B5 boundary’

Project B5 is an Electricity Transmission investment project delivered by Scottish Power Transmission. Its aim was to increase capacity across the B5 Boundary located in Southern Scotland. This will reduce network constraints and facilitate the further connection of renewable generation in Scotland. This decision sets out that the Opening Asset Value (OAV) of Scottish Power Transmission’s (SPT) B5 boundary TIRG project will remain at £11.209 million, the level set out in the licence. It also determines that SPT entered the post-construction period 1 year early, and sets out our prescribed approach to address this.
