Decision on the New Nwy (New Gas) submission to the Initial Screening Process of the 2017 Gas Network Innovation Competition

This letter explains our decision on the “New Nwy (New Gas)” submission to the 2017 Gas NIC. We think that this project has the potential to be technically innovative and increase the efficiency of producing biomethane from the Anaerobic Digestion process. However, we do not think that it is compliant with ISP criterion (b) – ‘Delivers value for money for gas consumers’. We have therefore decided that the project submission has failed to meet the ISP eligibility requirements and cannot progress to the Full Submission.
