Decision on changes to National Grid Gas plc’s Licence to terminate Permit Arrangements and adjust the revenue earned for the period 1 April 2013 – 31 March 2015

Licence modification

We are making changes to the special conditions of National Grid Gas Transmission’s (NGGT’s) gas transporter licence to terminate Permit Arrangements and adjust the revenue earned from Permit Arrangements for the period 1 April 2013 – 31 March 2015.

The licence modifications will take effect from 29 June 2015.

We issued a statutory consultation in March 2015 on our proposed modifications to NGGT’s licence. This explained our reasons for terminating the Permits Arrangements, used by NGGT to vary the lead times for the provision of incremental gas transmission, and for our preferred option for adjusting the revenue earned from Permit Arrangements for the period 1 April 2013 – 31 March 2015. The deadline for representations on the proposed modifications outlined in the statutory consultation was 1 April 2015.

One response was received from NGGT and we are now publishing our final decision on changes to NGGT's licence.
