In this letter, we set out our decision to approve National Grid Electricity Transmission’s (NGET’s) Demand Side Balancing Reserve (DSBR) Procurement Methodology for procuring balancing services in the rare event that there is insufficient capacity in the market to meet demand. We have considered NGET’s proposed methodology, and are satisfied that the methodology has been developed in line with the principles set out in Special Special Licence Condition 4K.5.
