Connection and Use of System Code (CUSC) CMP201: Removal of Balancing Services Use of System (BSUoS) charges from generation

Decision

Publication date

CMP201 sought to make changes to the Connection and Use of System Code (CUSC) charging arrangements to align GB charging arrangements for Balancing Service Use of System (BSUoS) charges with those prevalent in other EU member states. The effect of the proposal would be to remove BSUoS charges from generation and place them fully on demand.

The Authority rejected CMP201 on 2 October 2014.

UPDATE - We published an updated version of this decision letter on 4 November 2014 to amend a small administrative error. In the original letter, page two referred to the modification having been raised by NGET in October 2012. We’ve corrected this to December 2011, as the original date quoted was when the Final Modification Report was first submitted to the Authority, rather than when the modification was initially raised to the CUSC panel.
