The government recently made some changes to the ownership unbundling provisions of the Electricity Act 1989 and Gas Act 1986. The amending regulations, the Electricity and Gas (Internal Markets) Regulations 2017, came into force on 24 April 2017 (‘the 2017 Regulations’).
The Authority is responsible for administering the certification process in Great Britain in accordance with the unbundling requirements of the Third Package.
