In September 2015, the gas industry agreed a programme plan to implement changes to the funding and governance structure of Xoserve. These changes will come into effect from 1 April 2017 with the creation of a central data service provider for the gas industry. We believe that these changes once implemented will drive the right outcomes for customers of Xoserve and ultimately will benefit gas consumers.
This open letter sets out our expectation that the industry will continue to build on the good progress to date and work together to deliver the programme of work on time for 1 April 2017. The annexes to the letter provide a high-level view of what will be delivered on 1 April 2017, what industry parties need to do to prepare and contact details for the various workgroups tasked with delivering the programme.
