The Electricity Capacity Regulations 2014 require us to provide the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy with an annual report on the operation of the Capacity Market.
This is the fourth annual report on the operation of the Capacity Market. There have been two Capacity Market auctions since our last report:
- the 2017/18 T-4 Auction, securing capacity for delivery in 2021/22, and
- the 2017/18 T-1 Auction, securing further capacity for delivery in 2018/19.
This report describes the outcomes from these auctions, including the prequalification processes, along with some observations from our analysis.
