Project Nexus

The UK Link system, operated by Xoserve for energy settlements, supply point administration and other functions for the GB gas market, is scheduled to be replaced.

Project Nexus aims to ensure that:

  • the replacement systems meet the current and anticipated requirements of market participants
  • market participants update their own IT systems to work with the new Xoserve systems.

In 2016, we took on a formal sponsorship role for Project Nexus (supported by PwC). Through the project, we want to ensure the IT system replacements currently underway are implemented to get the best possible outcome for consumers. This could include, for example, improvements to the settlement process by using the opportunities of more timely and accurate smart meter data.

In the publications and updates list below you can view outputs from the project as it progresses, alongside resources we produce to support industry participants.
