We have awarded funding for four Scottish and Southern Electric Power Distribution Second Tier projects. You can find further information on each project and related documents in the publications section below.
Low Energy Automated Networks - 2014
A project to investigate, demonstrate and evaluate how a novel operation of interventions can be used to reduce electrical losses at multiple trial locations on SEPD's 11kV distribution network.
Solent Achieving Value from Efficiency - 2013
A project aiming to trial targeted energy efficiency measures with domestic customers to alleviate network constraints.
Innovation Squared - 2012
A project investigating the use of a domestic ‘smart socket’ to manage network constraints caused by Electric Vehicles (EVs).
New Thames Valley Vision - 2011
A large project which is primarily focused on developing a tool to help forecast where low carbon technologies might connect to the network. The project also trials network monitoring, energy storage and novel commercial arrangements with large customers.
