Request for Amendment to the Channel TSOs’ proposal for a common Long Term Capacity Calculation Methodology and to the Splitting Rules

On 21 January 2020, we received two proposals from the Channel Transmission System Operators (TSOs) on the Long Term (LT) Capacity Calculation Methodology (CCM) and the Splitting Rules (SR) for the forward market timeframe in accordance with Article 10 and Article 16 of the guideline on Forward Capacity Allocation (the FCA Regulation). The objective of the methodology is to propose a coordinated approach within the Channel Capacity Calculation Region to promote effective and optimal calculation of long-term cross-zonal capacity, also the rules on how the long-term capacity is split across different timeframes.
This letter sets out our decision to issue a Request for Amendment the Channel TSOs’ proposals and outlines the necessary next steps.
