On 21 May 2003 Ofgem published a consultation document in relation to prescribed rates on gas meters. The purpose of this consultation was to seek views on the possibility of allowing Transco to recover rates on gas meters through its transportation activities rather than its metering activities which it does currently. A number of responses were received and were supportive of Ofgem’s proposal. This document addresses the issues raised by respondents to the consultation document.
